Let’s Do This Thing!
I just finished my last blog post and published it 2 minutes ago. I started it in September and well…..life got busy! I decided to go ahead and write some content right away since I have had plenty of time to live life these past three months. Christmas day just passed and New Year’s day is a couple of days away. What’s on my mind? Well, I just had an annual doctor visit and like a dummy I brought it up to the doctor. What’s that you say? What could I possibly bring up a few days before January 1st? In my words: “Hey Doc, what should I do to lose some weight?” The doctor being close to my age chose her words carefully. I suppose she suspected an old dude like me could be sensitive, self deprecating or even volatile over such a touchy issue. Interestingly she never really gave a straight answer except the canned “Ya need to move more and watch your intake.” Ok, I guess that’s my New Year’s resolution…move more and be sure I don’t eat a sock, tree bark or radiator hose. She didn’t specify what my intake should or shouldn’t be, so I guess I’m good for another year as long as my arm is moving two times every time I shove something in my mouth thus obeying the “move more” suggestion. Ok alright I admit the good doctor brought it up first when she said “Looks like you gained a little weight?” Notice she said “little” in order to soften the blow. Oh, and as a question as if she couldn’t read the chart just in case I disagreed. And it could quite possibly cause life long damage to my mental psyche.
So 2025 shall begin the same as every year! Watch my intake and move more! Yay! Wishing all of you a happy new year. Please don’t eat a sock, tree bark or radiator hose! God’s peace to you! (Notice the overuse of exclamation points in order to exuberantly convey my enthusiasm!!!!!)
