Growing
Life sure can be beautiful. It starts as a small seed, then grows and develops into something beautiful. Generally life matures into a self caring individual with the capability of feeding and reproducing itself. This is what we think will happen……
When I ponder this about people, I see helpless persons who require interaction in order to survive. Little babies must be fed, kept warm, talked to and nurtured or they won’t survive. The love expressed between humans is unparalleled when nurturing children. Sure, we can talk to a plant and hope…..even pray……but the return of love a child brings to a parent is absolutely amazing. I am having these thoughts as I eagerly await the arrival of two more grandchildren. Two little baby boys who will need fed, nurtured, talked to and kept warm. I am very excited!
The plants in the photo are not wild things that self planted. I planted them carefully in seed starter trays, watered them, talked to them and watched them grow. My wife transplanted them when they were still pretty small and she took over talking to them, watering them and watching them grow. They will die tonight with a deep freeze and snow. It makes me a little sad.
I love all my children and grandchildren. I have enjoyed taking care of them the best I know how. I’m glad they are safe and warm. I can never stop nurturing them, feeding them and talking to them. I will always tell them “I love you”. To God be the glory for family, amen!
