It’s ok to be busy!
With all the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping, meal preparations, cookie and candy making and party going, I sometimes forget why I allow myself to be so busy this time of year. This post isn’t going to be the typical push to force you to remember the “meaning” of Christmas. We all know the core original celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth and redemption for man. I don’t want to cause you stress. Your busy season is your output of love toward those you love. It’s ok to be busy. Those you are serving are blessed to receive that love from you. You are blessed to have these people in your life or you wouldn’t take the time to bless them. If you are showering love on someone you ‘re not sure likes you, you’re still blessed because giving is a wonderful Godly action motivated by love. It could be one of the few reasons the receiver gets to know someone still shows love.
The Bible says “He that loves God knows God because God is love. God showed His love by sending His one and only son that we might live”. This motivation is a very good thing, so it’s ok to be busy showing love!
So please stop feeling guilty about being so busy blessing others at Christmastime, enjoying eating the treats and drinking the hot chocolate forgetting about the extra calories! Embrace the beauty of the season by enjoying all things we do this time of year. Guilt only adds stress, and no one needs more stress! It’s a blessing to be a blessing!
Have a peaceful, exciting and blessed Christmas season!
From my family to yours, Merry Christmas!
